More About Hall's Hardy Honeysuckle...

Noteworthy Characteristics

This Japanese honeysuckle cultivar is a vigorous, deciduous, twining vine which typically grows 15-30'. Extremely fragrant, tubular, pure white flowers age to light yellow. The flowers appear from late spring to frost and are followed by black berries which mature in late summer to fall. Attractive oval, dark green foliage is evergreen in warmer climates and semi-evergreen to deciduous in cooler climates.

Uses

Hall's Hardy Honeysuckle is perfect for use on trellises, posts, poles, fences, arches, arbors and just about any other structure it can climb on. Excellent for producing shade and color on arbors overhead. Particularly nice to spill over retaining walls. If left to sprawl, it will behave a lot like groundcover on slopes and embankments.

Cultural & Care Tips

Very easy to grow, Hall's Hardy Honeysuckle prefers full sun to part shade and well-drained soil to prevent root rot. The vines grow from 15 to 30 feet long requiring very minimal if any pruning; just enough to keep it to the shape and form you desire.
