Sedum Rupestre 'Angelina' is a moderate growing groundcover plant and perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 3A through 11. It matures to an average height of 1 inch to 1 foot and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer Angelina Sedum produces bright yellow flowers. The foliage is chartreuse and light green in color. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to deer, drought, insects and diseases.
Angelina Sedum can be useful in the landscape in mass plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, as an accent, as a groundcover, in landscape beds or islands, to accentuate entryways or in small groupings and also in rock or xeriscape gardens or theme gardens.
One of our 'Toe Tickler' selections, 'Angelina' is an evergreen variety of spreading Sedum that is vigorous, mat-forming, and has electric golden-yellow foliage that holds its color through the heat of summer. The foliage tips develop an attractive orangey hue during the cool season. In summer, terminal clusters of star-shaped, vibrant yellow flowers appear.
Angelina Sedum is superlative as a groundcover, border, or spilling over rock walls and the edges of containers. It also makes an excellent accent for plants with dark foliage.
Angelina Sedum is easy to grow in average, well-drained, gravelly soil and full sun, though it will tolerate some light shade. Give this freely spreading plant room to grow.
Truly outstanding in garden beds or containers!
