Additional Information About Hi-Yield Nutsedge Control

If you've tried to kill nutsedge growing in your lawn or landscape beds with an array of products, but nothing has worked, you're search for a product that does works is over!

We've used Hi-Yield Nutsedge Control in our own lawn areas on Bermuda, Centipede and Zoysia lawn grasses and know absolutely, positively, for sure that this product works. When used as directed on the label, Nutsedge Control doesn't just discolor the leaves of the nutsedge, it kills the entire plant dead!

How long does it take Nutsedge Control to work?

Nutsedge Control is absorbed into the leaves of nutsedge within 24 to 48 hours. Within 10 to 14 days the leaves begin to yellow and then turn brown and die.

What types of lawn grasses can Nutsedge Control be used on?

Nutsedge Control kills nutsedge after emergence in established cool and warm season turfgrass including: Bahia, Bermuda, Centipede, Creeping Bentgrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, St. Augustine, Tall and Fine Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass and Zoysia.

Nutsedge Control can also be used in landscape beds around ornamental plants and trees, however we recommend a less-expensive glyphosate product, such as Hi-Yield Killzall, for this purpose.

Will it discolor or damage my lawn grass?

When mixed and applied according to instructions on the product label, we've seen absolutely no discoloration of or damage to turfgrass after spraying.

How to apply Nutsedge Control...

This is a very easy chemical to mix. All you do is drop the water soluble bag containing the water dispersible granules in 1 gallon of water in a spray container. Though we haven't used it, the manufacturer suggests adding 2 teaspoons of a nonionic surfactant, such as Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker, to the mixture and stir well. The surfactant helps penetrate the waxy layer of the Nutsedge leaf thereby facilitating faster absorption into the weed.

NOTE: Make sure to use mixture the same day it is blended. Do not store the diluted mixture as it will degrade.
