'Fast Forward' is a new variety of pink muhly grass that blooms significantly earlier than the species, as early as August, and extends on into winter. Glowing, pinkish-purple airy flowers rise above clumps of very narrow, deep green leaves. Muhly grass is stunning in masses. We like planting it on slopes to ensure good drainage, which is essential with this plant. Even the beige seed plumes are attractive in winter. Exceptionally drought tolerant when established and suitable for seaside gardens.
