More about 'Austin' Rabbiteye Blueberry...

A 1996, University of Georgia release, Austin Rabbiteye blueberry has a moderately vigorous, upright growth habit. It ripens early, but typically flowers late enough to avoid the damage of potential late frosts/freezes. Austin has demonstrated good production (yields), and its medium-large size berries have good color and flavor. The blueberries produced are relatively firm, and they have a dry stem scar - which together contribute to Austin having good shelf-life, as well. Austin has nice fall foliage which is orange-red in color.
