Antennaria carpatica, also known as Pussy Toes, is a tough plant especially suited to hot sunny locations and poor, dry soil. It forms a very low, creeping mat of tiny, bright silvery-grey leaves. Short stems of fuzzy rose-pink flowers appear in late spring on this cultivar.
Pussy Toes is perfect for the sunny rock garden, as a small groundcover, or for between stepping and paving stones. Also excellent growing in rock walls or in alpine trough gardens.
Pussy Toes is very easy to grow and drought tolerant. Plant in well-drained soils and provide plenty of sunshine. After flowering the flower stems can be sheared or mowed.
