One of the loveliest sedums, October Daphne Sedum forms a mound that splays out from the center like a miniature fountain. The stems are covered with silver-blue scalloped foliage edged in pink. Clusters of star-shaped dusty rose-pink flowers appear in late September through October. Plants grow about 4 inches tall and about 8-10 inches wide. During the cool season, cold temperatures bring out pink in the leaves.
October Daphne Sedum is very easy to grow in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. It is drought and heat tolerant once established. We've seen no serious insect or disease problems however constantly soggy soil can be problematic.
October daphne sedum can be useful as a border or singly in gardens. It makes a great container plant!
