Toffee Chip Ajuga is a spectacular new groundcover that offers four seasons of interest with its colorful evergreen foliage. This unique variety has small leaves that emerge as brown and khaki shades and mature to gray-green with a lovely creamy-gold margin. Bright blue flowers on 6-8" spikes compliment the decorative foliage in late spring.
At only 2-3" tall, Toffee Chip Ajuga remains neat and tidy and is perfect for a border or in a mixed container gardens. It looks great in rock gardens, as a border plant, in mass plantings and is great for preventing erosion. Deer don't like it.
Toffee Chip does best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun. It prefers moist soil with a good drainage but will tolerate moderately dry areas. It does not like constantly soggy soils.
