Acinos Alpinus 'Calamint' is a fast and moderate growing herb and perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4A through 8B. It matures to an average height of 1 inch to 1 foot and an average width of 6 inches to 1 foot, depending on climate and other environmental factors. In the spring and summer Acinos Alpinus- Calamint produces purple and bright pink flowers. The foliage is light green and medium green in color. It attracts butterflies and is resistant to deer, drought, diseases and heat.
Acinos Alpinus- Calamint can be useful in the landscape in containers or planters, as a background, as an accent, in hanging baskets or in landscape beds or islands and also in theme gardens, cottage gardens or perennial gardens.
Bought for my rock garden and works great! Flowers bloom a beautiful violet color in the fall.
