Even when conditions are less than ideal, the Titan Fescues are well known and valued for providing durable, attractive turf. Titan Rx Turf-Type Tall Fescue is the 4th generation Titan variety.

It continues the Titan legacy by combining all the excellent features of the previous parentage with further selections for improved color, even stronger resistance to brown patch, heat, drought and winter, and increased rhizome growth. Titan Rx also has excellent shade tolerance, making it a very versatile variety.

SEEDING RATES

New lawns: 8 pounds per 1,000 square feet 

Overseeding existing lawns: On an existing fescue lawn, if you lost 50% of the lawn grass over summer you'll want to spread about 4 pounds of seed per 1,000 square feet of lawn area. If you lost only 25% of the lawn grass over the summer, you might need only spread about 2 pounds per 1,000 square feet of lawn area. If you're lawn is still full and lush you don't need to overseed. Too much grass and roots will compete for space, resulting in die-out.

Heat Tolerant

Titan Rx can take the heat! This was clearly demonstrated in 2010-11 during an intensely hot summer in Griffin, Georgia, where Titan Rx outperformed many other fescue varieties.

Rhizomes and Recovery

Titan Rx, selected from the original Titan Ltd., produces even more self-repairing rhizomes and aggressive tillers, enabling it better recovery, density and the ability to fill in bare spots.

Disease Resistant

Titan Rx was bred with improved disease resistance against many diseases including brown patch, red thread, and rust. Like its predecessors, Titan Rx shows itself to be a strong resistor and with great come-back ability.

Pest Resistant

Titan Rx has a natural built-in, safe pesticide called endophyte which repels damaging insects.

Great Color

Titan Rx has an attractive medium-dark green color making it perfect for new lawns, and overseeding existing lawns. Not too light and not too dark – just right!
