More about Francis Mason Abelia...

Noteworthy Characteristics

This head-turning dwarf Abelia produces medium green leaves variegated with golden-yellow on compact, mounding plants. An abundance of fragrant, light pink and white flowers are produced during summer and into fall. Butterflies and hummingbirds love the flowers. Francis Mason Abelia has demonstrated exceptional tolerance to drought, heat, insect, disease and deer.

Uses

Excellent for use as a single specimen, in groupings, flowering shrub borders, natural hedge, home foundation plantings, butterfly gardens, cottage gardens, or just about anywhere in the sunny, to half sunny garden where a striking splash of color is desired.

Culture & Care Tips

Plant Francis Mason Abelia in locations that provide well-drained soils and full sun. Abelias do not like constantly soggy soil. A shearing in late winter produces a denser plant. Cease pruning two months prior to the first typical frost date in your area.

One of the most attractive and tough plants in our gardens!
