Cleopatra Coneflower is a moderate growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4A through 9B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun, morning sun with afternoon shade or morning shade with afternoon sun and grows best when planted in loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer and fall Cleopatra Coneflower produces golden yellow and light yellow flowers. The foliage is dark green in color. It attracts butterflies, visual attention and songbirds / birds and is resistant to deer, drought and heat. If you like fragrance, Cleopatra Coneflower has fragrant flowers.
Cleopatra Coneflower can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, in mass plantings, in foundation plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in butterfly gardens or perennial gardens.
Cleopatra Coneflower is noted for its fragrant, daisy-like, bright golden-yellow flowers with orange cone-like centers. The beautiful flowers sit atop stems that rise above the elegant bluish-green foliage throughout summer and early fall.
