Noteworthy Characteristics
Calgary Carpet Juniper is one of the lowest growing of all the ground hugging Juniper. It is very cold tolerant and has beautiful soft, bright green foliage. Calgary Carpet grows to about 1 foot in height and spreads 4-6' in width.
Uses
Used for mass plantings and erosion control on slopes or embankments. It also works great in rock gardens, as a low growing accent along borders, or underplanting smaller to medium sized trees such as Japanese Maples and Crape Myrtles.
Culture & Care Tips
Calgary Carpet Juniper is very easy to grow and is very low maintenance; requiring little or no pruning It adapts to a wide variety of soils provided they are well-drained. It prefers full sun to mostly sun.
