Noteworthy Characteristics
Spitfire Quince is most well known for being one of the first plants in the landscape to bloom each year. It's true red blooms precede foliage and last for up to two months! And for bird lovers- you will be happy to know that birds love the fruit that appears during the summer months.
Uses
Cameo Quince works well as a single specimen flowering shrub, in groupings, flowering shrub borders, wildlife gardens, asian theme gardens, cottage gardens, and just about anywhere in the garden for a splash of late winter and sping color.
Culture & Care Tips
Cameo Quince prefers Full to Mostly Sun... six or more hours a day of direct sun. Once established Quince requires very little water. Well drained soil is best. Pruning is not necessary, however, Quince does take very well to pruning if a more compact shrub form is desired.
