Noteworthy Characteristics
‘Raspberry Summer’ is an upright, clump-forming perennial that grows to 32” tall. It features a long summer to fall bloom of tubular, 2-lipped raspberry pink flowers on stems clad with aromatic (mint scented), lance-shaped to ovate, bright green leaves. The flowers are very attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies providing a good source of nectar.
Culture & Care Tips
Plant in well-drained soil that have medium moisture and full sun to part shade. Good soil drainage is essential! When planting in heavy clay soils definitely mix in soil conditioner to the native soil to ensure good drainage. Deadhead spent flower heads to encourage more flowers. DO NOT prune in fall. Wait until late winter or early spring to cut back.
