Rudbeckia Hirta 'Tiger Eye Gold' is a fast and moderate growing annual bedding and perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 3B through 10B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun, morning sun with afternoon shade or morning shade with afternoon sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer and fall Tiger Eye Gold Rudbeckia Daisy produces yellow and golden yellow flowers. The foliage is dark green in color. It attracts butterflies and visual attention and is resistant to deer, insects, diseases, mildew and heat.
Tiger Eye Gold Rudbeckia Daisy can be useful in the landscape in mass plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, in landscape beds or islands, in small groupings or in annual flower beds and also in cottage gardens, butterfly gardens or perennial gardens.
The gold standard in annual Rudbeckias, TIGEREYE™ is an F1 Hybrid Rudbeckia. Its hybrid nature results in plants that display superior uniformity—a new achievement for annual Rudbeckias--and strong growth in the landscape. Large 4", semi-double, flowers measuring up to 4 inches across are glowing orange-gold with a brown button center and they are produced all season long.
