Chelone Lyonii 'Hot Lips' is a moderate growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 3A through 8B. It matures to an average height of 2 feet to 3 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides shade, morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun and grows best when planted in loam, clay or silt soil that is moderately drained or moderately wet. In the summer and fall Pink Turtlehead produces pink and rose pink flowers. The foliage is dark green in color. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to deer.

Pink Turtlehead can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, in mass plantings, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in theme gardens, bog gardens, perennial gardens or shade gardens.
