Noteworthy Characteristics
Bonanza Camellia is one of the best and most popular among the fall-blooming Sasanqua varieties....and for very good reason. It produces the brightest fuschia- to rosy-red flowers of any camellia on a smaller shrub that sports glossy, dark green, handsome foliage. The peony-form flowers are produced in abundance during the fall and into winter, creating a spectacular show in the landscape.
Uses
Bonanza is a lower growing camellia that is perfect for creating colorful, evergreen hedges or small to large groupings in landscape beds. Its smaller size also lends well for use in foundation plantings.
Culture
Camellias prefer a fertile, moist but well-drained, acidic soil. Constantly soggy soil is a slow killer. Your new camellia should not need regular watering after the first year unless there are extended periods of dry weather during summer. Camellias do best in partial shade or filtered sun. Avoid afternoon direct sun

I had tried to get the Bonanza camellia from one of our local nurseries, but they did not come through. When I saw that Gardener Direct had these camellias, I decided to order some. I really have enjoyed ordering from Gardener Direct. The plants came promptly at a good planting time, and, best of all, the plants were beautiful. I will definitely be ordering again from Gardeners Direct.
