More About Tiny Rubies Dianthus...'Tiny Rubies' is a dwarf form a dianthus creating a charming cushion of stell-blue, 1-inch high foliage that becomes covered with brilliant, tiny, double pink, fragrant flowers from spring into early summer.
A choice, tough but pretty dwarf plant, Tiny Rubies makes for an excellent groundcover or low border in a sunny area. It a perfect small plant for tucking into nooks and crannies. Great for entryways, courtyards, or as a stand alone border plant with reoccurring blooms and a great fragrance. Also great in a container by itself or surrounding other perennials.
Easy to grow and care for, Tiny Rubies is happy in a wide range of situations, provided the soil is well-drained and there's plenty of sunshine. In spring, this plant is adorned with little hot pink flowers. Shear back blooms to keep tidy. Drought tolerant.
