'Kyoto', also called 'Super Dwarf' is the most dwarf of any mondo grass we've seen. It is a very tight, compact and shorter version of 'Nana'. The blades are narrow and very dark green.
Super Dwarf Mondo Grass is the perfect choice between the cracks in paver patios or gaps between stepping stones and works equally as well as a massed groundcover under trees and shrubs. It is the perfect choice as an underplanting for Japanese maples and other unique specimen plants.
Super Dwarf Mondo Grass is very easy to grow in shady to partially shady areas of the garden. It isn't too picky about soils provided they are moist but well-drained. Constantly wet or soggy soils can be problematic. When established, plant can be mowed in late winter, before new growth begins to emerge.
