More About Little Leaf Creeping Wire Vine...Muehlenbeckia axillaris 'Nana', commonly known as Little Leaf Creeping Wire Vine, is just like it's parent but with even smaller leaves!
Little Leaf Creeping Wire Vine is a vigorous evergreen groundcover with a tighter growth habit and tiny, oval, dark green leaves on wiry stems. It grows to about 2 to 4 inches in height and at least 24 inches in width. Green flowers in spring are followed by white berries.
This creeping vine is excellent as a massed groundcover for erosion control on slopes or in landscape beds. It also works well between the gaps in stepping stone or paver walkways or patios, tolerating a fair amount of foot traffic. It serves as an excellent soil cover in container gardens where it spills over the edges of pots.
Little Leaf Creeping Wire Vine is a highly adaptable plant. It isn't too picky about soil, provided there is good drainage and will grow well in sun or shade.
