‘Prosperity’ is a hybrid Fleabane that is a long-blooming, clump-forming perennial which covers itself with pale lavender-blue, semi-double daisies from late spring to midsummer. The yellow-centered flowers are highly attractive to butterflies and are carried on tall, slender stems, and somewhat resemble asters.
Prosperity Fleabane is an easy to grow perennial that prefers full sun and moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Constantly wet or soggy soil can be problematic. Light afternoon shade may be beneficial where summers are very hot. Removal of spent flowering stems keeps the plants looking neat and extends the flowering period.
Maturing to form airy drifts of dainty flowers, ‘Prosperity’ is an excellent choice for a sunny spot near the front of a mixed border, and also performs well in rock gardens or containers. If cut when fully open, its blooms are lovely and long-lasting in the vase.
