Lantana Camara 'Dallas Red' is a fast growing shrub, annual bedding and perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 8B through 11. It matures to an average height of 2 feet to 4 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 4 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer and fall Dallas Red Lantana produces yellow and red flowers. The foliage is medium green and dark green in color. It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and visual attention and is resistant to deer, drought, insects, diseases, mildew and heat.
Dallas Red Lantana can be useful in the landscape in mass plantings, in containers or planters, in shrub borders, in landscape beds or islands, as a hedge, in medians or in annual flower beds and also in rock or xeriscape gardens, butterfly gardens, hummingbird gardens or perennial gardens.
