More about Azalea Sunbow® Solar Flare™

Noteworthy Characteristics

A spring-blooming deciduous native azalea with colorful, showy, orange buds that open to brilliant, neon-yellow blooms with light orange shades. This one is great for light shade and even sunnier locations! Perfect for woodland borders and the shade garden. With the added attraction of honey-suckle fragrance, these are a perfect addition to your garden.

Plant as a single specimen, in small to large groupings, in flowering shrub borders, home foundation plantings, along woodland borders or in shade gardens, container gardens, wildlife gardens and cottage gardens.

Culture & Care Tips

Native azaleas prefer a well-drained, organic rich soil that is slightly acidic. Though some sources say this Rhododendron will tolerate full sun we usually recommend providing some filtered sunlight or shade during the hottest part of summer afternoons.  No pruning necessary however can be selectively pruned after bloom to shape.
