It prefers growing in a location that provides shade, morning sun with afternoon shade, morning shade with afternoon sun or filtered sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the spring, summer and fall Dear Dolores Hydrangea produces pink, blue, light pink and sky blue flowers. The foliage is light green and dark green in color.
