Noteworthy Characteristics
Variegated Privet is an exceptionally fast-growing and colorful shrub that is very useful to create a quick hedge or screen. It can be left to grow naturally to 10 feet or so in height or responds very good to shearing to create formal hedges that can be maintained at 5 feet or more in height. It can also be "limbed up" to form a very pretty small tree. Fragrant white flowers are produced in spring, however the real appeal to this plants appearance is the outstanding, light-yellow to white and green variegated foliage.
Uses
Variegated Privet is useful fto create formal or natural hedges and screens. As a small, multi-stemmed tree, it makes a very nice specimen in landscape beds or foundation plantings.
Culture & Care Tips
Variegated Privet is easy to grow in a variety of soils provided they are well-drained. Very disease and insect resistant. No pruning necessary however can be pruned as a formal hedge or small tree.

The variegated privet really brightens a part shade spot in the garden and can be limbed up to make a small tree.
