Noteworthy Characteristics
Velma's Royal Delight is an old favorite semi-dwarf heirloom Crape Myrtle that displays an abundance of the most unusually deep magenta-purple flowers you've ever seen! In addition to it's stunning flowers, Velma's Royal Delight features some of the most attractive dark green foliage of any crape myrtle on a compact, upright multi-stemmed shrub or small tree that grows about 6 feet in height with an equal spread. The color show continues when the foliage turns orange to red in fall.
Uses
Because of its smaller size, Velma's Royal Delight is the perfect crape myrtle for smaller garden spaces. It is most useful as a specimen or planted in clusters anywhere in the sunny landscape.

FedEx shipping resulted in damaged product & they returned the trees to Gardener Direct. Gardener Direct called me concerning the damage, but had no additional stock to re-ship. Gardener Direct staff nursed the plants until stable to successfully ship again. After an understandable delay & compensation, the Crape Myrtles thrived thru hot summer of 2013 & bloomed. Still too early to determine any damage from severe winter, but very hopeful. Thank you Gardener Direct for working with me!
