More about Chocolate Mint...

Noteworthy Characteristics

The green leaves of the Chocolate Mint plant smell just like chocolate, and have some sweetness too, just like a chocolate mint Girl Scout cookie! In the garden, the plant spreads quickly to form a groundcover. If you don't have enough space in the garden grow it in a container! In summer the plant produces pretty lavender flowers.

Growing & Harvesting Information

Chocolate mint plants thrive in shady spots that have consistently moist, fertile soil, though will tolerate sun or all-day filtered light. If space is limited grows great in containers. Harvest leaves as often as you like and use them fresh or dried.

Uses & Cooking Information

Crush fresh leaves into water for a refreshing beverage or add to your tea or coffe. Leaves can be dried for use in flavoring ice cream, merigues, quick breads, cakes and other desserts.
