More About Dark Star Pineapple Lily...'Dark Star' is a fabulous Pineapple Lily that produces burgundy flowers on a hardy dwarf body of distinctive burgundy-black leaves that are rippled around the edges. The fleshy, sword-shaped leaves come on a purple so deep it is practically black, then lighten as they mature, eventually becoming a burgundy color spotted and striated with green. A standout in the garden, especially when combined with light colored plants such as Golden Creeping Jenny.
