Additional Information About Helenium Short and Sassy Dwarf Sneezeweed

Short And Sassy Helenium is a moderate growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4A through 9B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer and fall Short And Sassy Helenium produces orange and golden yellow flowers. The foliage is medium green in color. It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and visual attention and is resistant to insects, diseases and heat.

Short And Sassy Helenium can be useful in the landscape in mass plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, as an accent, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in cottage gardens, butterfly gardens, hummingbird gardens or perennial gardens.

More About Short and Sassy Dwarf Helenium...

Short and Sassy is noted for it's dwarf compact form and it's wonderful  multi-colored daisy-like flowers. The bright gold and orange flowers are 2 inches in width with a brown button-like center. Short and Sassy begins blooming about 3 weeks earlier than most other Helenium. Blooms first appear in early summer and continue well into fall. Although not necessary, removing spent blooms will encourage more new bud sets.
