It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 1 foot to 2 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun, morning sun with afternoon shade or morning shade with afternoon sun and grows best when planted in loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer and fall Green Jewel Coneflower produces green and light green flowers. The foliage is dark green in color. It attracts butterflies, visual attention and songbirds / birds and is resistant to deer and heat. If you like fragrance, Green Jewel Coneflower has fragrant flowers.
Green Jewel Coneflower can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, in mass plantings, in foundation plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, as a focal point, in landscape beds or islands or in small groupings and also in cottage gardens, butterfly gardens or perennial gardens.
Cleopatra Coneflower is noted for its fragrant, daisy-like, light green flowers with darker green cone-like centers. The dead flower heads will remain erect well into winter often being visited by birds that feed on the seeds.
