The latest addition to the Americana themed hostas is this sport of 'Revolution'. 'American Hero' has wide, deep green margins that cradle the narrow white center. Like its parent, the white center is generously speckled with green flecks. As the season progresses the leaves become somewhat folded and twisted. Lavender flowers in mid summer rise above the very dense mound about 12" high and 22" across.
A portion of the proceeds ($.25) of each plant sold will be donated to Project EverGreen, a national non-profit organization and creator of the GreenCare for Troops program - a program providing free lawn and landscape services to US military families at home while their loved ones serve in the Armed Forces.
