Noteworthy Characteristics
Kids of all ages...2 to 100...will love this unique and interactive plant! A native of South and Central America, the leaves of the Sensitive Plant, Mimosa pudica, actually move when you touch, shake or blow on them, collapsing downward. They do this in an effort to protect themselves. But don't worry, within an hour or so, after they feel the coast is clear, they'll rise back up again! An extra-added bonus is the pink, puff ball-like flowers that are produced during summer.
