More about Calypso Oleander...

Noteworthy Characteristics

Considered by many to be the most popular Oleander cultivar in the US, Calypso produces an abundance of large, hot pink flowers in large clusters during the summer and sporadically year round in hot climates. It is a vigorous grower into a large shrub or small tree with medium green leathery foliage and has demonstrated greater cold tolerance than most oleanders...as far north as USDA Zone 8.

Uses

Where hardy outdoors, Calypso Oleander is useful as a large, colorful specimen shrub or small tree or as a tall hedge or screen. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors or in a greenhouse when low temperatures drop below 40 degrees.
