More about Dwarf Firebush...

Noteworthy Characteristics

Also known as Hummingbird Bush, Dwarf Firebush is a very pretty North, South and Central American native plant that produces abundant clusters of bright, firey red-orange tubular flowers year round that hummingbirds and butterflies will flock to. Growing to about 3- to 4-feet tall, this dwarf version is perfect for container gardens and smaller garden spaces. Because of it's miniature features, it is also a good selection for bonsai.

Uses

Where hardy outdoors, Dwarf Firebush is useful as a colorful accent or specimen shrub or grouped in beds or borders, as a hedge, or in containers. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as an annual in beds or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors or in a greenhouse when low temperatures drop below 55 degrees. With high light it can be grown as a houseplant.
