Noteworthy Characteristics

The standard for purple Bougainvillea, new River is an exceptionally fast grower with incredible flower power. Its dense habit makes it a great selection where a complete cover is desired.   

Uses

The applications for this particular variety are endless. An extremely versatile cultivar that looks great in any shape and size from trellis to bonsai. Evergreen. Where hardy outdoors, New River Bougainvillea is useful as a climber to cover arbors, pergolas, fences, overhangs and other structures or can be used as a hedge. Where not winter hardy, it can be used outdoors as an annual in beds or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors or in a greenhouse when low temperatures drop below 55 degrees.
