Additional Information About Grand Reserve Ornamental Peanut

More about Grand Reserve Ornamental Peanut...

Perennial Peanut was first used in the United States as a forage crop for cattle. Over time new varieties, with much better flower production, have been brought to the market for use as a groundcover in the home and commercial landscape. Grand Reserve Ornamental Peanut is a low growing, drought tolerant, slow growing groundcover that displays bright yellow blooms spring through fall. Does not produce peanuts.

Grand Reserve is now found growing in medians, right of ways, home landscape beds, and as an alternative to turf in lawns. Grand Reserve grows well in full to mostly sun, in most soil types, and requires average to low water needs. Can be mowed frequently if desired and will acually bloom heavier and longer. Grand Reserve makes it's own fertilzer by capturing nitrogen from the air. This groundcover is obviously easy to grow and has low maintenance requirements.
