Noteworthy Characteristics
Aimee has the largest flowers of any gardenia. The intensely fragrant large white double flowers contrast sharply with the shiny dark green foliage. The flowers and foliage are so gorgeous that they are often used for corsages. Aimee is also considered to be the largest growing of all Gardenia, reaching 10 or more feet in height in milder climates.
Uses
Excellent for use as a single specimen shrub or smaller tree form, in small groupings, flowering shrub borders, natural hedge, visual screen or wind and noise buffer, home foundation plantings, espalier (grown flat against a wall), container gardens, asian theme gardens, cottage gardens, and gardenes in or near sitting areas, so as to enjoy the wonderful fragrance.
Culture & Care Tips
Grows best in morning sun with afternoon shade, however, can tolerate up to full sun. Prefers well drained soil. Grows in just about any soil type. Prune after it's bloom cycle.
