Noteworthy Characteristics

Cape honeysuckle is a sprawling, rampant, sometimes vine-like, shrub with evergreen foliage. Throughout fall and winter Cape honeysuckle produces clusters of brilliant red-orange to scarlet tubular flowers, each about 2 inches long. Can be used a s a large shrub or scrambling type vine-like shrub. 

Uses

Excellent for use as a shrub climber, on arbors and arches, fences, trellises and partitions, groundcover for embankments and large slopes, and espalier, 

Culture & Care Tips

Prefers full sun or mostly sun, well drained soil, and average to high water needs. Can be shaped or trained with regular pruning.
