One of our 'Toe Tickler' selections, 'Sea Urchin' is a low-growing sedum with attractive, tiny, narrow, variegated leaves of mint-green edged in creamy white. During summer, the bright yellow, star-shaped flowers above the foliage are an added bonus.
With a height of 4 to 6 inches and its colorful, succulent, uniquely textured foliage, Sea Urchin Sedum is a classic plant for the rock garden where it can be useful as a specimen or border. Looks great filling in between rocks and spilling over container edges and is also a good selection for filling in between thick stepping or paving stones.
Sea Urchin Sedum is easy to grow in very well-drained soils and full sun to part shade. Constantly soggy soil is a killer. It is exceptionally drought and heat tolerant when established and requires very little if any maintenance or care.
A reliable solution for hot, windy locations where nothing else can grow!
