'Black Adder' is an upright, giant hummingbird mint noted for its long bloom season from summer to frost. The flowers are smoky violet and bloom in showy, bottle-brush, terminal spikes 6-8 inches long. Flowers emerge from nearly black buds, hence the name. Licorice scented lance-shaped to ovate leaves are blue green in color. Pollinating bees, hummingbirds and butterflies love the flowers which are produced all summer to frost!
