Additional Information About Serratifolia Aucuba

More about Serratifolia Aucuba...

Noteworthy Characteristics

Serratifolia Aucuba features large glossy dark green leaves. The leaves are sword shaped with serrated edges. This plant provides a nice tropical effect in the garden. It has a upright, dense habit and will produce a crop of bright red berries during late fall and early winter if a male pollenizer is planted nearby.

Uses

Serratifolia Aucuba works well in the landscape as a totally natural hedge, in smal to large groupings, in home foundation plantings, in a woodland border or shade garden, or in container gardens.

Culture & Care Tips

Dwarf Green Aucuba will thrive in the shadiest of spots, even under trees where the shade is so dense that grass won't grow. Morning sun is tolerated but afternoon sun will scorch the leaves. Prefers to grow in well-drained soils with average moisture. Supplemental water is appreciated during extended period of drought.
