One of our favorites of the antique roses! We believe this rose is a seedling from the Chinese Butterfly Rose (Rosa mutabilis), but aren't absolutely sure. But the sprays of single roses in at least three distinct colors, ranging from soft apple-pink to a dusty rose, that decorate this open bush heavily in spring and off and on through the season are very similar to Mutabilis. The shrub reaches maybe 5 feet or so in height with an equal or wider spread. The season-long color show and clean, disease-free, healthy foliage definitely make up for the lack of fragrance!

I'm very happy with the Burmudas Kathleen rose I purchased. It arrived within a week of ordering. The plant was in a gallon size container and dormant with no leaves but has since leafed out nicely. Can't wait to see the blooms and hope it does as well as the other variety of Rosa mutabilis I have growing in my landscape.
