Dill is a fast growing herb that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 3A through 9B. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. The foliage is blue green and blue in color. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to insects, diseases and heat.

Dill can be useful in the landscape in containers or planters or in annual flower beds and also in herb gardens.
