Electric Lime Heuchera is a moderate growing perennial plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 4A through 9B. It matures to an average height of 1 foot to 2 feet and an average width of 2 feet to 3 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides shade, morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the summer Electric Lime Heuchera produces white flowers. The foliage is light green in color. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to deer, drought, insects, mildew and heat.
Electric Lime Heuchera can be useful in the landscape along woodland borders, in mass plantings, in containers or planters, as a border or edger, around decks, swimming pools, and other outdoor living areas, as an accent, under a shade tree, as a groundcover, in hanging baskets or in landscape beds or islands and also in rock or xeriscape gardens, cottage gardens, perennial gardens or shade gardens.
'Electric Lime' is a large mounding Heuchera that produces intense, lime color leaves that are sure to light up shady garden beds. The large leaves develop attractive red veins in cool temperatures. Densley-packed white flowers rise above the foliage on thin stems during summer. Villosa and Americana parentage greatly enhances heat tolerance.
