Additional Information About Carlos Muscadine

Vitis Rotundifolia 'Carlos' is a fast growing vining plant and fruit bearing plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 7A through 10A. It matures to an average height of 8 feet to 12 feet and an average width of 8 feet to 20 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam or clay soil that is well drained. The foliage is light green, medium green and dark green in color. It attracts wildlife and is resistant to drought, insects, diseases and heat.

Carlos is a great tasting small to medium sized bronze grape. The vine produces huge clusters of grapes with a very dry stem scar. This is an easy to grow variety and has excellent pest, disease and cold tolerance.
