Vaccinium Ashei 'Delite' is a moderate growing shrub and fruit bearing plant that can be grown in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 7A through 9B. It matures to an average height of 6 feet to 8 feet and an average width of 6 feet to 8 feet, depending on climate and other environmental factors. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun and grows best when planted in sand, loam, clay or silt soil that is well drained. In the spring Delite Blueberry produces cream and white flowers. The foliage is medium green in color.
Delite Blueberry can be useful in the landscape in shrub borders, in landscape beds or islands or as a hedge and also in cottage gardens.

A 1969, University of Georgia release, Delite has a moderately vigorous, upright growth habit. It is a mid-late season producer of medium-large size berries that are firm, light blue in color (some berries even have a light red, blush hue when ripe), have very good flavor, and a dry stem scar. Delite also gets high marks for its ornamental quality, showing off notably attractive foliage in the Fall.
