New Zealand Burr, also known as "Goose Leaf," is an enchanting, ground-hugging evergreen Alpine plant from New Zealand featuring diminutive leaves with a ferny delicacy. Pairs of tiny, silvery blue scalloped leaves and bronze trailing stems stay close to the ground growing about 6 inches in height. Rising on short stalks above the foliage, globe-shaped seed heads that are small thornless “burrs' are colored a brownish red.
New Zealand Burr is easy to grow as it adapts to almost any well drained soil. Grow in full sun to part shade.
Plant it as a cover for your bulb bed, situate it along pathways, perch it on a garden wall or let it creep around or fill the gaps between stepping or paving stones.
