The Dorman Red raspberry grows particularly well in the southern United States (Zones 6a-10b). The plant is vigorous, and has a more trailing growth habit than most of the other, more upright growing raspberry varieties. This summer bearing, floricane-fruiting plant is very cold hardy and prolific, producing an ample number of large, firm, bright red, glossy berries, that are delectable either fresh or frozen. And, as if you really needed anything more to love about Dorman Red, it has also demonstrated very good resistant to heat, drought, and disease!
