Red Cascade is one of the few miniatures to win the Award of Excellence for Miniature Roses, and it is one of the most versatile of the entire class. It has cascading style of growth and the ability to cover itself in miniature flowers over and over again through the growing season. A mature plant of 'Red Cascade' is truly a spectacle to behold, with its hundreds of deep ruby red 1.25 inch fully double blooms.
Red Cascade will easily grow into a weeping shrub of at least 3 feet tall by 6 feet wide. In warmer climates it can reach dimensions rivaling any full-sized climber, up to 12 feet if trained on a support. There is a pleasant fragrance at times, but it is best described as “light'. Its true merit is its vigor and generosity of bloom. An excellent cascading landscape shrub which is perfectly at home in the Modern Ground Cover classification as well.
Red Cascade Rose is excellent for mass plantings on slopes, trained to grow up a fence or trellis, to cascade over walls, or as a stand alone specimen anywhere in the sunny landscape. Very nice planted in large containers as well.
